Best bet - trouble shoot to determine if 1) you have everything connected correctly, 2) there is actual signal flowing, 3) all cables and components are functioning properly.
If you have concluded that evertying SHOULD be working then you'll need to utilize BING or GOOGLE and look up some info on the adapter to find out what you're doing wrong.
Or - time to spring for a cable box.

Comcast is going all digital and require the Digital Transport Adapter - I only have basic cable so I do not have a cable box - I have the digital adapters but am having difficulty marrying my TIVO to this new little box - the back of the adapter has 1 in coaxial, 1 out coaxial, 1 plugin for attaching a little receiver for the remote control signal and a plugin for the power - please advise - all the flow charts I have found all show a cable box (not the adapter) with IR cable connections - Comcast is useless and TIVO can't get past the cable box and understand I only have a digital signal adapter
