Marlett.ttf file

If the Marlett.ttf file is damaged or missing, numbers or garbled characters appear in place of controls.

a. The step-by-step article [Q129605] discusses how to extract compressed files, many of which are compressed and stored in cabinet (.cab) files that must be extracted first.

Note: Extract a copy of the Marlett.ttf font file to the Windows\fonts folder and set the file's Hidden and System attributes.

b. The step-by-step article [Q134861] discusses the hidden Marlett.ttf file, its purpose, attributes, use, location installed, and how to extract a copy from cabinets.

Note: The file is located in the Win95_06.cab disk 6 using Win95 floppies, the Win95_05.cab file Win95 CD-ROM, and for Win98 Retail in the cabinet Win98_47.cab. Extract the file to the Windows\Fonts folder.
