Tip Sharing

There are so many websites with tips for beginners/intermediates in video-making that I decided to ask you all:

Do you know of a website that is particularly good in giving tips on how to take good videos? For example, yesterday I was going through YouTube and discovered a hand-held contraption that really does take the jiggle out of a video-recording. It showed the young man holding this device, which had the cam on it, jumping up and down... BUT THE VIEW ON THE CAM STAYED STEADY AND EVEN!!

And then I found out from a fellow Macintosh owner that my iMovie '08 HD actually has a stabilizer software in it which does in the software what that hand held apparatus does while taking the movie!!! I was not aware of this even though I have had iMovie '08 for a while now.

And thus I would so much welcome any tips from you out there! I ordered from Amazon a digital camera, Canon SD970 IS, and it is probably arriving at my doorstep by Wednesday next week -- the 13th or 14th of July.

I have already downloaded the User Manual and skimmed the info available and am interested in ?registering? the Print button to being the default ?Videotape Now? button so I don;t have to go through that procedure to start videotaping.

I look forward to whatever you might have to share!
