Tip: Don't forget about Open New Window

Oct 29, 2006 12:37AM PDT

Tabs are great. All the best browsers support them.

But, managing a lot of open tabs is a pain.

I do a lot of researching and typically burn through a LOT of tabs. But, I start a new window when I start a new research subject.

e.g. If I run into something in the forum that I want to respond to I may need to check for more information or links to support response before responding. So, I open the link to the message I want to respond to in a New Window. Now, all of the tabs, searches, etc are grouped together. Can even save all those tabs in a new bookmark folder and re-open them later if required.

Close off the window when you are finished with the topic.

So, don't forget Open / Open Link in New Window. It still has a use.
