Sep 5, 2013 4:22PM PDT

I need to put a timestamp with the date and time on my video footage. Can anyone recommend a camcorder or video editing software that I can use to do this?

Answer
Time stamp

All camcorders put time stamps on the video. With DV tape it is in the form of timecode and with SD card files the time stamp is part of the file info.
I assume you want to show a timestamp on the final video. Personally I don't know of any software that will do that directly - but there must be some. Have you searched the web?
The editor I use Corel VideoStudio Pro X6 gives you subtitles so you can put the date and time directly on the shot.
