To avoid duplication of effort I see this link:
On 05/16/2010 I was able to load all websites visited. On 05/17/2010 I received a timeout error message when trying to load one website using MS IE. After several attempts to reload the page I downloaded and installed Google Chrome but received a similar timeout error message. The full error message in Chrome is: Error 118 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out. I cannot get the website to load when using either IE or Chrome. All other websites and pages come up without problems in both IE and Chrome. I've got Norton Internet Security (version 184.108.40.206) running and no settings have been changed. Norton was initially installed approx. 2 years ago when the PC was purchased and is upgraded annually. I've deleted my cookies and cache. I've restarted my system all to no avail. No other programs have been downloaded and/or installed in over 6 weeks. No changes have been made to any settings.
Google Chrome version: 220.127.116.114
Operating System: Windows Vista, ver. 6.0, 32-bit
Error Message: Error 118 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out.

Using an Arris cable modem provided by SuddenLink
UPDATE: I've uninstalled Norton and attempted to access webpages using both MS IE and Google Chrome, website listed above still does not load. Subsequently re-installed Norton Internet Security since it was obvious this isn't a firewall issue. Uninstalled Google Chrome, reset Internet Explorer, deleted cache and cookies (yet again), reset cable modem, flushed DNS using CMD, deleted ARP settings (last 3 under assistance of SuddenLink tech support), restarted computer and webpages still will not load. Have re-installed Google Chrome since it appears to make no difference whether I'm using MS IE or Chrome (and I prefer Chrome). People at Norton, HP (computer manufacturer), and ISP (SuddenLink) cannot figure out why this problem is happening since all settings appear to be appropriate. Webpages for goodereader.com still will not load and now an additional website won't load (pollingpoint.com), same error messages are received.
