Timed/scheduled audio recording?

Hello, I was wondering if there's any free software available that allows for recording audio for a specified amount of time, or maybe a specified schedule.

There are times when I want to listen to something, but I don't have time to, and leaving Audacity to record indefinitely would likely send my computer out of its mind.

For those times, it would be nice to either say "record for an hour" or "record from 3:00 to 4:00" - probably the latter would be the best, but either would be fine.

I'm not too worried about audio quality, as Internet radio isn't the best medium for quality anyway, so recording from my sound card (via stereo mix) would be acceptable for me, though obviously, capturing the stream directly would probably be the best option.

One of the streams I can see as most-recorded would likely be

Thanks for any info!

I hadn't realized they had that as a feature, even if it's still in beta. I downloaded it, and I'll try it out. Thanks dude!

Schedule AND timer!

Very cool ... I checked it out, and I see that it has a schedule, as well as a standard timer, if all I want to do is record for an hour starting from now.

The Audacity devs are groovy people. Happy

Nothing like the right tool for the job.

Audacity is pretty focussed on some specifics so they tend to do well.

You know it's time to replace it when you see the Meeting Calendar extensions.

Well you could try looking out for a bot program which runs your recording software on a given schedule.
