Time Machine backup to network drive?

Mar 13, 2011 4:15AM PDT

I'm a relative newbie to OSX. I'm currently in transition from PCs to all Macs. I recently got a D-Link Networked HDD enclosure and populated it with 2x2TB WD HDDs for automated backup of multiple computers (3 MAC OSX, 3 Win7). When setting up Time Machine on my Macs (all running OSX 10.6.6) it only gives me a choice of mounted internal and USB drives. The networked drive does not show up as a choice for backup destination. Is it possible to designate the network drive(s) through a LAN IP address for Time Machine use?

Mac Mini Core 2 Duo
MacBook Pro Core i5
All machines running OSX 10.6.6

Are the drives visible and accessible to the Macs otherwise?

Machine backup to network drive?

Yes. I can see the drive in Finder and address the files on it. It just doesn't show up as a selection option when I go into Time Machine setup.
