Thunderrbird Address Book

by zlzpqx / May 28, 2015 2:04 AM PDT

The following problem seems to have popped up only recently:

When I slightly change a person's name in the Properties of the (latest) Thunderbird's Address Book and then click on OK for that update, no corresponding change takes place in the address list.

...........................................

As a different matter, is there in any quick way to transfer all addresses in the "Collected Addresses" into the "Personal Addresses" list? It seems that that facility does not exist in Thunderbird.

Thanks!

Seems you may need to remove then add to the list.

It appears the list gets the email address right but the name may need us to remove and re-add it to the list.

So changing Bob Gnarly to Bob Marly might show the old name in the LIST. But if I changed Bob Gnarly's email address I think that the list got it right.

Open the Address Book, go to the Collected Addresses. Hilight them all, then drag and drop into the other address book. No problem.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
