The MS answer to Windows 7 email is to download Windows Live Mail, now a part of Windows Essentials, but a number of folks like Thunderbird better. I'm using Windows Live Mail with Windows 7 and 8. I haven't had any problems with it in the last year. Outlook, which is a part of MS Office, is a good alternative, and a few folks like Eudora. You have a number of good choices, but you do have to install one of them if you want an email client on your computer.

Good luck.
Would like to get some opinions of the Thunderbird e-mail program.
I have a couple greeting card programs that let me send cards as a e-mail.
When I try to send them, it tells me there is no e-mail program associated and I can't send them. This is since getting Windows 7 which has no e-mail program like I had with XP or Vista. I assume I need to install a e-mail program like Thunderbird?
Looking at the setup for Thunderbird, it looks a lot like Outlook Express.
Is this a good program for what I need, or is there something better.
Thanks
Wayne
