Thumbnails

Mar 13, 2004 1:09AM PST

This may be very simple for you to solve but I removed several programs from my Gateway ME recently and now in My Pictures when I open the folder and click Thumbnails the only pictures that open are the .bmp files. The jpeg files just show the logo. This is not the way they opened before. I would like to enable whatever is not allowing them to open as a thumbnail. Can anyone help?

Bob, thank you for your information. I'll give this a try.

R. Proffitt: Thanks for your information. I too had the same problem with my thumbnails disappearing. As I often save photos to "My Documents-Pictures" and then attach them to be sent onward to friends, I was having a bad time. But I thank you for your information and fix for this problem.

You are the best and the greatest!

I have developed a habit of going to every instructional link you suggest, Bob, and copying it to a file I keep called 'Windows Tips'. You never know when something will come in handy...
