I have used a "set-top" digital antenna for the last 9 years. Reception is fine and from where my house sits I can pull in at least 14 channels, network affiliates, movies, PBS, Spanish language programming. It's great, and FREE! The only drawback is occasional interference when a vehicle passes the house. But then, cable depends on satellites to bounce channels, and there seems to be a lot of freezing of scenes during broadcasts. I don't know if I'd ever subscribe to a service again.
