Question

THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER Blue Screen

Jul 25, 2017 9:44PM PDT

My computer was fixed since my post about the blue pixels and such, but I've came across a new problem that has been occurring for a long time, but started becoming more frequent.
I've been getting the THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER blue screen for a while now, and I've came here for help.
Here's a list of all the things I have tried to fix the problem:
1. Modifying the Registry with the "TcrDelay" fix.
2. Looking for BIOS updates (I could not find any for my HP Pavilion 510-314, if you know any please tell me)
3. Updating my AMD R7 Driver to the latest version
4. Reverting back to the AMD Driver installed with the system.
If anyone can help me, I would be very thankful to you, thanks!

Sorry, I made a mistake on my model number. The real number is 500-314, NOT 510-314

Which OS?
Jul 25, 2017 10:02PM PDT

My first check would be to see if HP has drivers for the OS you are running.

After that I want to know how long since the heatsinks were cleaned, and how old is this PC?

If you looked at my "clarification" then you saw that I got the model number wrong, it's actually 510-314, will that make a difference in installing this BIOS? (I'm on windows 10 BTW)

Still no Avail
Jul 28, 2017 12:47PM PDT

I updated the BIOS I saw under Windows 7, still get the blue screen. I might just take it to a store or contact the makers about it. The warranty has expired though, so I might just get a new pc in general

I have most of the graphics drivers associated with AMD. I am installing the add-on driver and will respond if it works or not.

Not Working
Jul 28, 2017 10:36PM PDT

I have since gotten a blue screen since installing all the drivers to their latest version. Still blue screens. Would replacing the graphics card itself work?

Is there a graphics card?
Jul 28, 2017 10:51PM PDT

I suspect you have an igp.

Yes

I do have an integrated graphics card.

It's not a card.
Jul 30, 2017 6:42PM PDT

It's part of the cpu.

Grab a copy of memtest86, it's free.
Put it on a disc and boot it up.
Let it fly for 12 hours, no errors allowed.
