Thousands?
Apr 29, 2006 5:52AM PDT

Heck, many were probably just out to walk their dogs or to see the hubbub

- Collapse -
How do you know that?
Apr 29, 2006 7:52AM PDT

Do you live in NYC?

- Collapse -
Well, I just watched the evening news
Apr 29, 2006 9:02AM PDT

and they also cited "thousands." All the camera angles were close up, but you could definitely see a lack of people in the rear.
If there were thousands, they must have been distributed throughout the city.

(NT) (NT) Do you?

March of the morons
Apr 29, 2006 6:07AM PDT

Say, shouldn't Sharpton be in jail?

- Collapse -
(NT) (NT) OK. That's your opinion!

Look who's in the march...
Apr 29, 2006 8:09AM PDT

Cindy Sheehan. Al Sharpton.

Look which groups are represented. Moveon.org among others, some even nuttier.

Immediate withdrawal. That's real practical and would really help Iraq, right?

Seems like a slam dunk to me. Why aren't you marching with them?

Why aren't you marching with them?

How do you know I wasn't? I might as well be one of the many who think that the best way to support our troops is to bring them home!

- Collapse -
Hahahahahaha....
Apr 29, 2006 9:41AM PDT

I had a feeling you might be one of them. Or you "might as well" be one.

I had to double check when it came on TV because it looked like another Planet of the Apes rerun.

About all they could do was march and even that not well.

Without their signs....
Apr 29, 2006 6:26AM PDT

.... it could be hard to tell them from the protesters championing illegal immigration. Happy

Terry, there were anti-war protests before the war, and during the war. Now, I defend a citizen's right to protest. But I admit that it bothers me because our troops in Iraq do watch the news. That being said, I do think that our troops also know that the vast majority of our citizens do support them. I suspect that nobody wants them to return to American soil more than they want to come home. But they are there, are committed to their mission.

Those out to kill as many Americans and those they say are supporting Americans, also watch television. In some of their home countries they stage protests. They are good at it.

The difference is that in those countries the populace is taught tand encouraged to despise Americans. We despise terrorists. We don't despise the Iraqi people.

Because we don't , we know we can't leave them high and dry until they have a better sense of security around them. Sure, there were errors in judgment made from the get-go, but this is now.

OY: Last night my wife and I went out to dinner...
Apr 29, 2006 7:45AM PDT

in Brattleboro, VT, which is a way left hotbed. There was a demonstration in the park against sexual violence. They marched around carrying signs, blocking traffic and chanting "Hey hey, ho ho, sexual assault has got to go!"

Aside from wondering who they were caling a ho, I was wondering, do they expect people who might commit sexual assault to see the demonstration and decide NOT to?

As if they had the answer...

.... to the problem.

Silly, silly chant!

Wonder how many of them would try to be excused from jury duty if a perpetrator was going to trial.

IMO, if the USofA were to abruptly pull out, I wonder how long it would take the Osama wannabe's to test the water inside this country, again.

I'm surprised you had the stregnth [sic] to post it.

Wasn't it YOU who brought up trailer parks?

At least you and the rest of the gang had nice weather for your little outing. Did you happen to talk to Sharpton about the deaths he caused in Crown Heights?

Nope!
