Question

Thoughts on this PC build?

Nov 14, 2018 4:01AM PST

Planning on building this PC for gaming at 1080p at 144hz in BF5 and PubG. Just wanted someone else's opinion on the parts if some are overkill or there's a better option etc.

CPU - I7 8700k
GPU - RTX 2070
Memory - G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Power Supply - EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Case - Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X DRGB Tempered Glass ATX Anthracite Grey
CPU cooler - Deepcool - GAMMAXX GT 29.5 CFM CPU Cooler
Storage - Corsair - MP300 120 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
- Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Unsure of what Mobo to get with this build, ive been looking at z370 boards for future overclocking perhaps but I'm not sure on brand or price range.

A few years back.

Tomshardware did tests to see if the motherboard had any effects on benchmarking. They came back with less than 2% change or less. So to chose a board I like to stick with the herd. If I can use one from the models at https://www.reddit.com/r/PCMasterRace/wiki/builds I do that since these are used by thousands and if they had a glitch they wouldn't be on that list.

However there are some gamers that shop for appearance and you can't help them.
Here's an ugly picture.
