Those who have HP Pavilion dv6000, I beg you to please help!

I just got my HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop just days ago and was really excited to try it out.

The laptop was pre-installed with Windows Vista which I really don't like since the laptop lags a lot so I decided to dual-boot the Windows Vista with an XP.

I successfully installed XP but I made a mistake and erased my other partition where Windows Vista was installed.

I tried using the recovery manager option found every time the laptop starts but it just goes straight on to the XP os.

I still have the HP RECOVERY partition on my drive.

Then I've read at one of the threads here that I should've made a Recovery Disc set before I attempted to install XP so I can revert back to Vista whenever I wanted to. The problem is, I didn't make one. (stupid me)

So please, if you have the Vista Recovery Disc Set for the HP Pavilion dv6000, I would greatly appreciate it if you share it with me.

Please help guys. I've ran out of options. Thanks a lot!

About the only legal way I can think of

is to call HP and have a credit card handy. They will sell you the recovery disks you need.

I've already considered having those disks shipped. The only problem is, I'm in that part of the world where US companies have poor support for their products, Philippines.

I tried emailing them at their local office here and we'll see what happens.

Anyone else got solutions?

I still have the RECOVERY partition in my drive. Is there a way to extract it so I can use to restore Vista?

HP overnighted them to me last time.

Sorry it was for another model so it was worth the small fee.
