I'm a regular youtuber, even commented on that video multiple times.

The G5's boot slower, but is performance for an "everyday" user on the whole really that different?

I'd like a G5 17 inch someday. They are small and look good for an everyday computer.

Watching a new machine boot Vista. Even using hibernation that old G5 wins.

As to using the old PowerPC units, sorry I don't care for them. I'm a bit spoiled.

I'm stuck with an old G3

booting OS 10.3, and a Performa 450 booting 7.5.

I'm making headway into a vintage comp collection though, and I might even be able to acquire a Mac Plus, so it's not all that bad. Then there's the two Piece of Crap (PC's) that I am trying to sell, and my laptop triple booting between Linux and Windoze...

In other words, I'm surrounded by the damn things.

LOL... I take it that the G5 boot up time was not too good.

But then again, I'm going to venture a guess that Apple sold the G5 with a previous version of Tiger than the Intel iMacs came with. The ones with iSight had Tiger, unlike their predecessors before them. Still, it's hard to find good G5's these days for good deals (as in good condition, in the box). Of course, if you've read my post about that site selling those Macs cheaper than anything I've seen, you'd probably favor picking up a new white Intel iMac or two instead.

The G5 was the slow one right? Wink

Come on, where's the PPC pride?
