General discussion

This question will reveal the depths of my ignorance insofar

Insofar as the depths of my ignorance as to what is possible/feasible/perhaps done and disarded-however since this is a forum I'll assume a degree of indulgence.

I would like to read gmail, perhaps even do some simple inyernet browsing while working out on a treadmill/exercise bike inside my home. It would be a convenience if there were a way to read/delete/save email with the help of a remote control from 6" away from my PC.

I haven't seen anyting out there similar to this-I would imagine there are more expensive devices that serve better purposes-like the loss of limb to a Stephen Hawking type device. Obviously, I'm not looking for something like that, rather I'm looking for something under $20 that would free me from the keyboard for some very simple taSKS.

Any ideas. Anybody know of such a device? Thanks for your collective indulgence.

Bluetooth mouse would function up to 20 feet or so but you would have to have some kind of platform from which to use it. You would have to have a bluetooth adapter (as well as the mouse) unless you have a bluetooth antenna built into your system and it won't happen for 20 bucks. Am sure there are other ways but b/t would be a pretty simple way to go, again 20 bucks, not likely.
