General discussion

This just in.

No ex-leaders were harmed in this posting.

"The United States and China agreed to restart trade talks after President Donald Trump offered concessions including no new tariffs and an easing of restrictions on tech company Huawei in order to reduce tensions with Beijing." Reuters.*

Good. We're all happy; the farmers and those who eat their produce.

But ... Huawei was being restricted- by US and others- because its policies and products are a "danger" to military security, not because restrictions would bring economic pressure in a tariff war.
(Recap: economics = profits; danger = risk of loss of life and greatness.)

The stories don't mention Huawei becoming warm and fuzzy twitterbuddies with anyone. Is the threat still there? Shouldn't a CinC keep his charges (citizens for whom he's responsible) up to date on such things? My government's leader does.

to visit the DMZ in NK, AND return safely?

Just trying to give HIM as many "firsts" as I can, I know HE is trying to collect as many "firsts" as HE can.
