The Republicans will not ''take credit'' for it, because the withdrawal is dependent on the conditions in Iraq, and the election, or anything else that is going on in the US, has absolutely nothing to do with troop withdrawal.

No political party would want to have approx 30,000 troops return/or be scheduled to return, from a war zone around election time. This would have little or no affect on family members vote.


And I can't imagine why the talking head on tv would even think that anyone would think anything different. Where would he get that idea?
