I'm sure that two years ago they were confiscating nail clippers and knitting needles, but apparently not anymore. And I wonder if some airports have tighter restrictions than the TSA list.

here and in europe, any metal items (nail clippers/scissors, crochet needles) found in carry-on bags or pockets is either confiscated, or, taken away and given to you at destination...
