And thinking creatively, rather than logically. The problem is making it too difficult. Try again!

She replied today:
CAN YOU GIVE US A CLUE????? Everyone at work is getting mad at me.
LOL!
It a nice little puzzle, though, but I havent had time to work on it much.
after the first try. That means I'm not too bright. Correct? I should say that I'll never figure this out. Scratch everything before 'I'll never', and blame it on senility.
(that means I'm smart
)
I'll let you know if it worked - sometimes I do that and then he won't tell me. Darn kids!
.
It took me about 2 hrs., but I figured it out. I now refuse to tell my mother as a matter of principal. For all those of you out there who can't get it, try taking square roots, it might help.
Orion.
yup, sometimes the root is square. But a square by geometric definition requires two dimensions and only two. Some of these rose roots have only one dimension that is simultaneously three. But none are a singularity. And the one that has an easy square root isn't. And surely you've been warned that bums ride in box cars so you should avoid them too.

p.s., you mom told us about your science project. Are you able to "publish" it on a website somewhere? It sounded really neat and I'd like to read it.
i don't have the faintest idea how i did it ![]()
jonah "still struggling" jones
.
If you read it, you would see that the most intelligent people take the longest to solve it.
Thats a bummer. Thought these old brains were doing pretty good figuring it out so quick
George
was to cover himself. It took him over a year and some students got it right away. The "Dr." wasn't going relinquish his intellectual authority that easily so, I think, the remark was bogus....and, therefore, you are "complex" and Dr. Duke's the simpleton.![]()
Now I really feel horrible!
That statement from the "Dr." was the only thing between me and insanity (well, that and the stupid puzzle!).
Orion is driving me nuts because I solicited him to figure it out just so he would tell me the answer - now he won't tell!!
So then I solicited my fiance for the same reason. He spent half an hour with it and proclaimed "This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen!" (along with some words the filter does not allow
)
So I was comforting myself with the idea that I merely fit in with the "really smart" folks. Worked for me. Now you go and ruin that false sense of security with your words of wisdom and reason and logic!!

I saw this and flower pedal reference and immediately thought it had something to with the old "She loves, me...loves me not" daisy plucking ritual.
This idea got stuck in my head...I was going nuts...I knew the secret was in there somewhere. Then I found this site and caught on almost immediately. I sent the link to my son and he knew what it was about without even going there...said he saw this long ago. We tell our kids we hope they grow up to be smarter than we are and then, when they do, we feel foolish. Sounds like we're in the same boat here. Try to comfort yourself by remembering how much you can learn even on a road to failure.![]()
instructions. It is not in solving the puzzle. If that is true, and its just a theory, then the really smart ones would never solve it. Result? Zero time to a solution.![]()
