General discussion

This has been a pleasant visit

May 12, 2006 8:29AM PDT

I entered this forum with opinions apparently unpopular with some of the folks who reside in this dark place.
I have been personally attacked, sworn at (thinly veiled as my eight year old pointed out), threatened with being shunned or worse banished, and now they want to take out my feeding tube. Fascism, bigotry and ignorance are trusted friends here.

In '1984' a free mind was the enemy of the state. I better check my calendar.

Don't feel stepped on WOODS-HICK, actually you're in very good company. A lot of good people have gone down the same trail you have. LOL

Don't take it personal, this is a private place and strangers and their opinions aren't welcomed.

However their Help Forums are super!

but not everyone has the same opinions as you do. So sad. So sorry you can't tolerate other people's differing points of view.

Bye bye.

Hey I tolerate other people's differing points of view just fine. Matter of fact I have been learning from other's points of view since I was born.

You said, strangers and their opinions aren't welcomed. I am disputing that. They are welsomed, but no one just rolls over.

I'm a guest who won't leave the party; even though all the balloons have been popped. The hot water here just rolls off this duck's back.
In Chicago we would just pants these folks and send them home to mommy.

The tech/help forums are great, I've learned and been guided by the best people.

Keep the doors open and thanks.

Seems to me you are more prone to try to "present the better argument" without getting into labeling and name calling.

No I don't call people ignorant although it's not the worse thing to be. We all find ourselves in that state at one time or other. I know I have.

You are correct

There is a wolf pack element especially if you are a democrat. Also specially if you are not a US citizen and give an opinion unfavorably towards our Government and President, or the current war, you will definately get thrashed upon and even insulted like calling you an idiot or other words to skirt a direct personal attack. Notice though it is by certain people who apparently thrive on it. The Mods have been trying to tone down the attacks, even with getting the Manager of this forum to endorse their effort, but to all avail they can't catch some of posts.

Yes, it is a shame how some people, especially the new are treated if there is any disagreement in the packs thinking. There saying is, even to me, if you don't like it move on, and I have been around CNet and this forum for some years, being supportive of my Government, President, and the war.

Do not let them get you down and drive your off.

I'm letting the air out their tires not mine. Anybody can tell from my arrogance that I am proud to be an American. My resume that means something: boy scout, altar boy, animal lover, treehugger, thorn to the crown, soldier and closet Quaker.
Thanks for the flank protection. Classic pincer move.
Your posts in the tech/help forums have educated me.

Glad to hear some friendly voices at the doors of the Bastille.

that you are arrogant. Nothing more. You are not letting the air out of anyone's tires. Try letting some air out of your ego.

This is only a "dark place" if you make it so.

You get what you give.

There's no pack mentality here. That's a figment of your imagination. I post as I will, independent of others and expect no different from anyone else.
