Resolved Question

This computer is not authorized . . .

Jul 31, 2014 8:51AM PDT

Wife has an iPod, iPhone, and iPad. All synced to iTunes on her Levono laptop. The laptop is old and getting flaky so I installed iTunes on a desktop. I moved all her music (iTunes music folder) to the desktop and started iTunes. All music was found. I then authorized the desktop. I plugged in her iPod, iTunes found it, and synced everything. Worked perfectly.

I then plugged in her iPad. iTunes found it and started the sync. But the backup failed. I got the message that it could not back up her apps because the computer was not authorized. I did authorize it as above.

So, I unauthorized it, then reauthorized it. Plugged in the iPad and got the same message. It will sync, but not back up her apps. Same thing on her iPhone.

Any thoughts?

Fixed it. I apparently created another account for the other devices.

Just noticed another member posted the same question. Maybe since then someone has an answer. Still, CNet won't let us delete a question.
