third time's a charm? laptop advice!

Nov 23, 2009 6:57AM PST

I have about 2 years left of college to finish my masters - I've gone through 1 Dell and 1 HP laptop...what to buy next?!

I run multiple programs at once (Adobe CS4 Suite, AutoCad, Sketchup) and for many hours at a time. Needs to run fast and must be reliable. I need something that won't crap out on me before I graduate...

4GB+ ram, processor?, brand?, not too expensive

any thoughts would be very helpful!

Find laptops that fit your specs

Since you're going to be using a lot of memory, you're right to be looking for something in the 4GB range (which means you'll also need a PC with a 64-bit OS).

The PC Scout from Windows has a ton of PCs in it and you can use the slider bars to change the specs you are looking for, giving you a final list of PCs that fit your needs.

Try it out and let us know if you have any questions.
