Thinking of buying Dell Latitude (D-Series)

Dec 21, 2009 5:48AM PST

I am looking to buy one of the Dell Latitude D-Series (d620, d610, etc.) laptops.

I like the look of the d610, but I am a little confused.
The numbers after the "d" throw me off a bit. I saw the d610 and the d810 and they look the same. Is one better than the other? Also is there a good Latitude laptop for the following things I do?:

-Running 3D games (like Quake 3 or GTA Vice City)
-Playing emulators (GBA,NES,N64)
-Playing online flash games.
-E-mail
-Microsoft Office

Also I would like to know if it is possible to restart the OS like I got it new (or will I need a CD-ROM?)

^What I mean by this is completely wiping everything and getting Windows XP installed on it.

The only way to get a D series laptop is through Ebay or some other private seller. However, this is a business laptop, not really for gaming.

All Dell systems come with an OS disc so you can reinstall from scratch if you wish.
