you don't want to move...The next easiest solution for you is to stay in the house, have everything you require flown in via drone, conduct all business over the internet....The ONLY reason you should leave the house is to attend political rallies , rallies for YOUR candidate...NOT the opposition candidate.
I wish you well...keep in touch.
I'm not there now either. Your comparison falls flat.
I wouldn't think you were...you've been replaced many times over and someone is probably still there holding a spot for the next person to "take your place".
Imagine TheRUMP in power and countries start kicking American forces out of their bases....
*** for tat....a hissing contest
As usual, you are sooooo wrong.
" Iraklion AS also provided liaison and base support services for the United States Embassy located in Athens, Greece.
Since the station's closure in 1994, the facility has been abandoned and appears to have been looted and vandalized. It is in an unkept state being taken over by weeds. Currently, an aquarium known as the Cretaquarium, a dinosaur park and an exhibition center are housed at the site."
same video when we were there.

The End. Base Closing Ceremony. Boring like most official gatherings always are.

"Looted and vandalized"?
Was that part of the payment for cleanup? (Greece can have the crap AKA garbage, that would cost too much to ship back to the States)
So The previous owner didn't cleanup after they left?
RE:a guest doesn't overstay his welcome
A GOOD guest cleans up when they leave.
it's the military of the country being left that requests that the 'crap' as you call it be left behind for their own military to use since they normally don't have the ability to acquire it on their own. Unfortunately, the military equipment we left behind in Iraq for the Iraqi military went into ISIS hands because that Iraqi military dropped it and ran away. In my own opinion, ALL military equipment should be shipped back home at ANY expense or dropped from ships into the oceans to ensure it never reaches enemy hands again. If that country doesn't want us there anymore, let them figure it out on their own once we leave. IF we had taken our equipment home once BO took us out of Iraq, ISIS wouldn't have been so well equipped to kill.
