Donald Trump Wants 'Apprentice' Sexual Assault Case Dropped Because He's President

Donald Trump has claimed a defamation lawsuit over sexual assault allegations brought against him by a former contestant on “The Apprentice” cannot proceed because he is currently serving as president.

Trump’s legal team used 1997 U.S. Supreme Court ruling Clinton v. Jones in its argument for presidential immunity, which they’ve cited before. At first look, the case involving then-President Bill Clinton and an Arkansas woman appears to undercut Trump’s argument, as the sexual harassment case against Clinton was allowed to proceed while he was in office.

The more things "change", the more they stay the same.....

“Ms. Zervos and her counsel have openly conceded ― indeed, bragged ― that their true motivation is to use this action for political purposes as a pretext to obtain broad discovery that they hoped could be used in impeachment hearings to distract from the President’s agenda,” the filing reads."

There is nothing more noble than fighting for a noble cause, is there?

"the filing reads"?

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and make the "assumption" your quote from was made by one of the hirelings of TheRUMP.

People can 'file" all kinds of statements......

Look again at where my quote came from

It came from your own HuffPost link. As for your other message about making this go away by Trump admitting to the truth. Shall I go out on a limb and claim that you are making the assumption that he is lying?

WHY would anyone think HE would lie?

RE: Look again at where my quote came from

Like I said

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and make the "assumption" your quote from was made by one of the hirelings of TheRUMP.

ONE of the hirelings of TheRUMP..that "hireling " shall be known as Marc E. Kasowitz

Kasowitz’s filing slams Zervos’ allegations as “a private witch-hunt” threatening to interfere with Trump’s ability to do his job. The document also contains repeated claims against the motives of Zervos and her lawyer Gloria Allred, a proponent of women’s rights.

“Ms. Zervos and her counsel have openly conceded ― indeed, bragged ― that their true motivation is to use this action for political purposes as a pretext to obtain broad discovery that they hoped could be used in impeachment hearings to distract from the President’s agenda,” the filing reads.

I believe anyone...especially a woman, when they make a claim against
TheRUMP....

You believe anyone's claim made against Trump????

Well...how absurd of me to think that he and his lawyer might actually be due the same pre-trial impartiality that any other accused person in this country is afforded under its laws. Tou·ché

IF/WHEN HIS lawyer can claim "she's lying"...Why can't I make the same claim

- Collapse -
You certainly can make that claim
Aug 7, 2017 6:27AM PDT

but it carries no weight if you're not part of any proceedings nor can put forth one shred of evidence. Your attitude, however, might be a personal asset. You'd never get past the voir dire process to be seated on a jury where you just might be exposed to the facts. Facts can be such nasty things when they conflict with ones pre-conceived notions.

You mean like BO when
Aug 7, 2017 10:01AM PDT

he had advisors writing Obamacare by deliberately making the assumption that the American people are stupid and wouldn't know that they were being screwed without benefit of Vaseline?

You actually believe that EVERY President

Nope, but
Aug 8, 2017 3:28AM PDT

they DO make their own agenda known and dictates HOW they want it written in order to get the outcome they desire and in the case of BO and his crew, they didn't care that there was a 72-76% disapproval of Obamacare by the PEOPLE they were forcing it upon.
