Why experiment? This is REQUIRED either with thermal paste compound or pads. If the laptop is a few years old the compound can dry and crack so when we get an older laptop in for this issue we do the usual canned air work (so many priors that I don't write more) then replace the compound on not only the CPU but any thing that has a heat sink.
No experimentation required.
Just wondering if any 1 has experimented with putting thermal paste where cpu is. I'm having overheating issues. After changing digitizer. Any questions, comments , concerns?
