exactly, also the right to keep and bear arms was not for hunting and sports.. it was so that if needed we could overthrow our goverment if needed.

Well to say it's just an issue of peoples right to privacy is trivialising the issue. The first step in controlling a population, is to have information on a population. You can not punish dissent without knowing who is a dissident. Hence the 'unreasonable searches and seizures' law is a fundamental aspect of a democracy, it is a law designed to make it difficult for a government to curtail dissent and control public opinion.
