??..Now in excess of $3 trillion

The year I was born, the cost of a first class stamp was $0.02...

??..Now it is $0.40.

I was surprised at how long it took

to get unemployment under control after the stock market crash of '29 and the depression years. It almost looks like it took a war to fix it. Almost no one was out of work during those years. I came along in '47 and unemployment was, again, starting to rise....not sure what the significance of that is.
