China has indeed made great strides against poverty, especially since the shunting aside of Mao's "pure" Communism(!). But the income gap, especially urban/rural, is still huge.
Civil rights? Has no line item on the Central Planning spreadsheet.

It and Russia are regressing to cult-of-personality leadership. Never good, say history and the Bible. Ps 146:3.

Iran's leader- "Supreme" over heaven and earth, he believes- says 'Put down protests by any means necessary.' K-i-l-l = "means". Minimum of 500 dead so far, per MSM.
