The toolbar issue.....

Jul 4, 2009 1:47PM PDT

The normal Black toolbar at the bottom has decided that all of its programs should be push right instead of on the left. This happened before and it fixed somehow. Does anyone know what to do?

Usually a temporary glitch...

Ending the process Explorer.exe using the Task Manager and then re-launching it from the File menu, or simply restarting the computer, usually resolves it. The cause is usually an installed shell extension, such as the search bar now located on your Taskbar, and resolved by uninstalling the offending extension/application.

Hope this helps,
John

Just thoughts.

Nothing solid but just ideas.

1. Take John's advice.
2. Reboot.
3. Stop then start DWM. What and how? Pick from:

4. Unlock the toolbar and see if the dividers are not where you expected them to be.

Sometimes I get asked "Why?" to which I can only say "I don't know." and be happy that we have some fix.
