The Tea Party is rising up again

Oct 6, 2018 1:44PM PDT

Sarah Palin tweet from last night: "Hey, Murkowski....I see 2022 from my house". IF she runs against M, she will win......many voters weren't all that wild about McCain, but they LOVED her.

Discussion is locked

If I recall correctly,

Palin got more negative press than did McCain and the usual SE antagonists were all over her. My guess is that, if the Tea Party won't make much headway without re-naming an re-shaping itself.

'negative press'.....exactly

Because she was so well loved across the country, the press and SNL HAD to smear her every chance they got because it's all they know how to 'win',,,,,,real journalism died years ago when they realized that it was easier to collectively repeat something some OTHER media says than to do their own homework anymore. I suspect that Tea Party people were/are still around during the 2016 election and since then have been working on getting more Reps elected for 2018. With Trump actually showing Reps in Congress that they can actually grow that spine and have taught them that fighting back is actually rewarded by the people, the Tea Party will again be an open and public force.

Just my usual response about activists and activist groups

Such folks are entitled to have a voice. In fact, I think it's important that all viewpoints be heard. However, I would never put such a person in the WH. This was my reason for not being pleased with our previous president's election. His focus was just too narrow. He, otherwise, seemed to be a very decent human being.

He's still alive.

There may be a stereotype here, but I think his [lone] marriage to a Black woman precludes any crotch grabbing and such. Don't they all carry straight razors? Happy

She was so smeared by SNL in fact that she

even came on the show, where a good time was had by all. Bill C. had his latenight saxophone; Sarah P. had her doppleganger. Showbiz proverb: Bad publicity is better than none at all.
I heard this once: Anyone can be wrong in her opinions, but no one should be wrong in her facts.

SNL

Did you see Matt Damon (they let him back in the USA?) doing Kavanaugh in skit on SNL the other night? I ran across the link at youtube, so checked it out.
