Adding RAM does not increase resources. You should...
1. Review the Memory and Optimizing Windows articles at http://www.aumha.org/articles.htm
2. Don't allow pests on the machine. Look at Adaware, Spybot to eject most items.
3. If the error is from Word, just delete NORMAL.DOT and carry on.
I have a 3yr old Dell Dimension 4100 with 384MB RAM.
I am recently receiving the message ?the system is dangerously low in resource?. I get lot of freeze ups and blue screens.
When I first got this message I increased RAM from 128 MB to 284MB and the problem went away for about 8-10 months - now it?s occurring again. What can I do to prevent this problem?
Any assistance is much appreciated!
