The Students are coming

I've been asking for years , Where are the students ?
I was born in 1955 and watched all of the race riots, rallies about stopping the Vietnam war , King shot , more marches, Kennedy's shot , more marches .The SDS marches here in Chi and the Dem Nat. Convention in 69 (?)
Tin soldiers and Nixon's coming , Kent State students shot ,4 dead in Ohio...

My point is it seems after the sixties , early seventy's I really haven't seen the students so involved in a movement like yesterday's March for Life  and am So Proud of these students for getting back in the mix and trying to protect their future .
I'm sorry for the reasons they have to march but Now ,
Watch Out Washington and the NRA !
The Student's Are Coming and They're Pissed OFF ! Go Get'em Kids!

You need special govt permission to sell, buy, and wear such.

so it is possible you just need government permission like these guys have?

"In California, anyone can purchase and use a bulletproof vest, unless he or she has been convicted of a felony. Bulletproof vests and all other body armor can be purchased online or face-to-face."

seems the law is limited to felon purchase not allowed

They will

In reply to: Were they wearing clear backpacks?

And of course they will be toting tampons, pads, and condom packages for all to see. They might even do that as a protest, especially the condoms where they can be clearly seen.

If only people could become "adults" without being a teenager....

the real question is;

In reply to: RE:And of course they will be toting

Why are children, who are not yet of voting age, allowed to engage in politics? The next question is why are the Democrats "using" them? Have they so little regard for them and their safety? Why is the media spending so much time covering such young non-voters? Who is bankrolling these kids? How is this different tactic than ISIS using civilians and their children to hide behind while they engage in military activities? They are trying to use these children for their own purposes and they should be ashamed of themselves. Broward County is like Palm Beach County and Miami Dade County, a bastion of Liberalism from transplanted peoples into Florida. Seemingly, they continue to be shameless in how they allow these children to be used for their own agenda.

RE:allowed to engage in politics

For the same reason American history/politics is taught in school?

The "system" made them do it....

They are successful not only for their own lives but to put some sanity into our gun laws and controls.

I'm not going to hold my breath.

This fall back position that gun owners have about the 2nd and a right is nonsense.

There are a couple of things to be sad about

In reply to: The Students are coming

One is that politicians and celebrities with their own agenda actually are using these kids as pawns (not unfamiliar territory for liberals though). This was NOT a "March for our Lives, SCHOOL SAFETY" march/rally like they would lead you to believe.....if you read the signs, it's actually a GUN CONTROL march that would penalize every law-abiding gun owner in the country and do NOTHING to stop the bad guys out to kill you from getting THEIR weapons of choice because NONE of them give a crap about the laws that are already on the books, and every single one of those politicians and celebrities know it.

The second thing is the total hypocritical (again, pretty normal for liberals) presence of their own personal or taxpayer funded ARMY of protectors they ALL have for themselves, but WON'T approve funding for those schools to have THEIR own protection.

https://www.dailywire.com/news/28629/narrative-fail-lots-good-guys-guns-protecting-ryan-saavedra?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_content=062316-news&utm_campaign=benshapiro

They don't care about these kids any more than they care about the DACA 'kids' they keep harping to.

When you have politicians and celebrities flying the kids in on personal jets or bussing them in, you KNOW whose agenda is really at stake and it's NOT an agenda geared toward protecting or making the kids safer than they are already. It's disgusting..........

There wasn't ANY air time for interviewing the kids who REFUSED to go to the rally because they KNOW gun control isn't the answer..........they have correctly put the finger of blame on the lack of interest from the school administrators, the local police, the State police, AND the FBI even when they were warned on numerous occasions about this particular man. IF he had been hospitalized early on, as had been begged for, for observation, his mental issues would have BEEN in the system and he would have been DENIED buying that gun.

Put the blame where it belongs for a change.....a FAILED SYSTEM....that failed DELIBERATELY in order to not have it on their school records that arrests had been made so they looked better and got more tax money when it was obvious that some of the kids were already out of control. Instead, they expelled him and washed their hands of him so he was no longer their problem....until he DID become a problem for them in a massively cruel and public way.

Collapse -
Quite normal

In reply to: There are a couple of things to be sad about

For people of power or money to use other people to push their agenda.

Is there some specific demand the students are making that would effect law abiding gun owners?

Yes the dems are exploiting this but they are not in the pocket of gun lovers and the NRA which is where the repubs are.

Since the repubs are in power if there is a problem with our failed system fix it.

I don't think they have an interest in this.....too many votes and too much money coming in.

One pol said we don't need more gun control we should teach the kids CPR.....make what you want of that.

Collapse -
The Reps HAVE been trying to fix

In reply to: Quite normal

the failed system.....the DEMS keep filibustering everything or they vote to defeat all efforts at changing/fixing ANYTHING, including immigration. Their idea of reform is to have open borders and allow everyone in, and it started immediately with Trump's exec order that BO actually put into place that wasn't even questioned by Dems when HE did it. If Trump does it, even with identical wording, it's got to be 'resisted' no matter what.
