General discussion

The post type "Praise" icon

Apr 16, 2011 10:51AM PDT

The smiley face with cutesy little heart just doesn't remind me of praise. I don't know what might be workable. Maybe an A+ symbol of some kind?

We'd use a thumbs up, but that is already being used

How about a face of you Steven with great big smile and you giving the thumbs up for a replacement? Wink

Anyone else who doesn't like (or doesn't think) the current praise icon represents "Praise" post type? Recommendations?

Thanks!

I like it...

I'd find it confusing if it weren't for the little heart, which makes it work in my opinion. An A+, on the other hand, makes me think of a rating system, and in turn the thumbs up/down that users can give threads and replies. So I'd think it's a measure of popularity/rating rather than a "praise thread."

Just my 2 cents.
