much like the Dept of Education.....they try to make themselves much more important than they are....
You aren't impressed with the Tea Party......I'm not impressed with the opinions of the CofC.
Lawmakers weren't able to compromise because Reid pocketed nearly every bill the House passed once Republicans took control there......you can't compromise with someone who won't play by the rules, and BO and his cronies in the Senate have refused to play by the rules since day one of his first election. They have never wanted compromise.....they wanted to 'break the Republicans' (that didn't work) by any means available to them, including shutting them out of everything the first two years and then walking away from deals that were agreed to until the last minute (The Great Bargain, remember?).
The Tea Party has always been transparent about what they want......smaller government, less spending, less debt, jobs reform bills, stop BO's unlawful recklessness and overreach of power. Yes, they are frustrated over the 'old school' Republicans who have been afraid of public opinion or their re-elections more than they were concerned with actually doing what they were elected TO do and that's protect the people. Will they still be a force to reckon with in the future.......yes.

The Tea Party is more interested in "turning over the apple cart" than governing.
"We had candidates who were fundamentally more interested in turning over the apple cart than they were in governing," Mr. Donohue said of the congressional elections in 2010 and 2012.
"People want Congress and the Senate to govern," Mr. Donohue said. "They want them to be competent."
Polls support that view. Public-opinion surveys taken before and after the election showed a much higher share of the electorate wanted to see lawmakers compromise than in 2010, when the tea-party wave swept Republicans to power in the House.
