I going with no problem. But this answer may change as it's only a day till thousands get this update.
So for now, I'm going with blocking the drivers won't stop the update. In your case, it's more of a stay tuned for more news as we see more machines update.
That said, the problem with the driver update was most pronounced on 7 to 10 upgrades. I have a theory why but I only have a few machines that I was able to check it out. It seems that after the 7 to 10 upgrade if you didn't take the time to install your latest BIOS, drivers for motherboard and devices then the W10 or Microsoft driver updates could cause issues.
Remember this is only my few machine findings here. But it was consistent. That is, I would take the machine in, and just do the work of BIOS and drivers then boot a few times and it would return to normal operation.
BUT!!! And this is a biggy, more and more folk are just point and click users who are not to be shamed. The problem is known and Microsoft has yet to address these users.
I went from windows 7 to windows 10 build 1709. I have driver updates blocked. My question is if you have driver updates blocked does that effect the update process of the 1803 update. Please be specific as don't want any problems. Thank you in advance. Don't want problems because I don't know how to fix them. Have learned from this web site.
