Cingular has stopped selling the V600 because of an RF conflict? apparantly with bluetooth which can degrade signals in one of the 4-communication bands
(800 mhz). Other services don't use the affected bands and are still selling the phone. (It would be my first choice). V400 isn't affected.

Source: Chicago Tribune business section; Cingular and I note Best Buy sells the V600 along with CNET
retailers.

Hey K9IDQ,

I work for Motorola and Cingular is still selling through their inventories of the versatile v600. There was a slight RF issue with one of the bands so some markets were affected but the phone still meets industry specs. This is a small scale issue and although most people won't be affected, Motorola will continue to improve call quality in those markets.

For those who are having issues, there is a toll free # set up to help . We are currently working with Cingular to offer a v400 with a free ear bud in an exchange program for those who are experiencing problems with their v600.

Thanks for the post, K9IDQ.
