The Media Niche

I have a new home with a fully wired media niche. It?s approx 7 feet high 8 feet wide and 2-2.5 feet deep. I have been exploring the realm of in-wall speakers, on this forum even and have yet another question. The only real place to install the L R C would be in the back of the media niche. Will this just screw up the sound Q of an already low SQ type of speaker (in-wall). Or will the speakers be fine recessed back into the niche 2-2.5 feet?

As far as alternative placement, the niche is close to a hall way so the wall that would be used on the right hand side of the niche is about 1.5-2 feet wide and is almost solid 2X4?s. I could probably do it on the left side of the media niche, but I still have the solid column of 2x4?s on the right.

And one last thing, I would like to that this forum for not posting remarks like, ?why don?t you search, this has been done a thousand times?. Instead you guys post helpful links to facilitate the growth of us new forum-ites.
