The MEDIA

Does anyone else right now think that all of the media that is using JonBenet as breaking news or even including her in the regular newscasts are embarrassing themselves and losing credibility? From day one , this guy?s ?confession? had huge holes in it. And it?s gone nowhere but downhill since. Fools, fools, fools

August is always the month of idiotic behavior from the media. Not that they shine the rest of the year.

This JonBenet thing is absurd. Even if there are answers to be had, they won't be breaking minute-to-minute. Covering his 12 hour airplane flight was the silliest thing I've seen in a long time.

What happened to the hurricanes we were supposed to get? I really look forward to seeing some moron standing outside in the wind and rain so we can see a hurricane is blowing.

The media attention won't hurt today's news

that the confessed killer's family is already trying to sell book and movie rights to his story to pay legal expenses. I have to wonder if they will be disappointed if this guy's just an innocent kook and their movie and book plans go bust.

As unseemly as it may seem ...

... if this guy is really whacked and not responsible for Jon Benet's death, he will need $$ to pay lawyers and I see no reason why he shouldn't get them from his story given the media is making their bucks off of it.

He seems like a whacked guy, and he SPEAKS as if he has molested others, if not Jon Benet. I only hope that he hasn't actually lived out his many apparent fantasies Sad If he has, I hope he's put away for life and that the attention from this case (even if proven not to be him who did it) keeps him away from kids FOREVER!

at his book signing or movie premier. He'll have to pay his lawyers with someone elses money. Nothing I've heard in the media coverage even suggests he wants much of a legal defense anyway. Whether he gets a concrete cell or a rubber room we normal folks will still pay his way from now until......:)

... but SOMEONE will be "consuming" the stuff. If he's just a loon with obsessions/delusions/fantasies, I would prefer he be in a rubber room than in a prison as a convicted child molestor. As fervently as I feel that molestors should be prevented from ever seeing the light of day, I don't believe in locking up the truly mentally deranged if they haven't committed any crimes.

With the confusing/inaccurate reporting, it is difficult to sort out what exactly his sexual criminal history is. It may well be possession of child porn. I'm one that believes such should be punished because some child was abused to generate that filfth, but I don't think we can lock them up and throw away the key. LOTS of people fantasize about all sorts of illegal activities w/o ever trying to carry out those fantasies in real life.

Speaking of the media

It's been many years since I saw the Jon Benet videos ad nauseum to the degree that I've seen them recycled in the past few days.

Still the media doesn't seem to find anything outrageous about having a little girl wearing the clothes and makeup and acting in that manner for a pageant (child abuse plain and simple) or repeatedly airing it so every Karr-like pervert can fixate on it Sad

I do remember mention of that subject

as a sub-topic during that time. Frankly, I was ignorant of any knowledge that such pageants existed and rather disturbed when I found out. Who knows what goes on among the well heeled and beautiful people? I would wonder if anything has changed in that regard today.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
