The left admires Kerry for calling GIs war criminals

Feb 14, 2004 10:30AM PST

I picked this up on the McLaughlin Group (a group of journalists who discuss politics). At least one member said this is what makes people mad about Kerry's postwar activities and association with Jane Fonda.

Johnathan Schell in 'Letter from Ground Zero', includes a quotation of Kerry testifying before Congress; '"I would like," he said, "to talk on behalf of all those veterans and say that several months ago in Detroit we had an investigation at which over 150 honorably discharged, and many very highly decorated, veterans testified to war crimes committed in Southeast Asia. These were not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command....' and the quote goes on to describe the alleged horific acts. Schell is writing in The Nation and doesn't look to me like a right wing guy.

I wasn't in Viet Nam, but I never saw anything like this reported. I wonder what effect this testimony had on later events?

He was talking about, Kiddpeat...

Kiddpeat, he was talking about the "Winter Soldier Investigation", a Jane Fonda production (Kerry was there) in Detroit. That's where Kerry got that nonsence he spewed before the Senate comittee.
The Democrats don't want you to know about that, but that situation is coming out.

Hmmm, its not very hard to find the Jane Fonda connection.
