A line from "The Magnificent Seven". I never saw it but I remember something about snatching flies in numbers.

An old folk tale but the Mickey Mouse version where he bragged,
"I killed seven with one blow."

OK, then, you're hired.

I was in the USAF in the early '70s
Nov 22, 2016 1:15PM PST

in a comm center in Italy. I was in crypto communications at the time. Our equipment was designed to encode messages in such a way that there would be no repeat patterns for several years and the code for this equipment changed daily. I think the stuff cost a lot of money to develop and produce. What I'm no thinking is it might have been a lot cheaper to just have the messages translated into Welsh and employ persons from Wales to simply translate them back to English. Our "enemies" at the time were from Russia and parts of Asia. We should have been just fine. We can trust the Welsh, can we not?

We pay our translators by giving them sides of beef. Now if Taffy stole your Rolex, Bentley and credit cards, we'd need to rethink the deal.
