I have no idea how long the battery holds out but it lives on in some speaker dock.

20 Gig?
Oct 1, 2011 12:45AM PDT

Mine's much older. Top of the line with a 4 Gig drive. One of the first. I charge it every so often, but it does reside in my Denon receiver's iPod dock, and connected to my Goldwing's system. It's full of every one of Jimmy Buffett's albums.

No convenient Apple replacements for the Classic
Oct 1, 2011 7:31AM PDT

My 120GB iPod classic is a workhorse. I love my iPad, but it's too big to bring in the car just for music. I like my wife's iPod Touch, but the storage is too small to be a replacement for my iPod, although the trade-off is running Apps and being able to connect to the Internet. I love our two iPhones, but using them just for music playback seems silly as it drains the battery that I need for doing important things like phone calls. Maybe it's time to dust off my old Walkman.
