EBT not all the same
May 6, 2015 4:07AM PDT

Our small business accepts the "food stamp" pgm. as well as SNAP, but it's all by state EBT cards. There's no "app" or at least our EBT doesn't accept anything else. If it has to be done at a later date probably a new EBT -OR- optional device attached. I can understand much larger stores or markets provide the whole range of EBT capabilities, but then they have to as many more pass by their counters.

I've seen EBT usage at the dollar shops and they pretty much got to. They provide a limited shopping venue as well and probably more local and/or quick shopping as well. The basic staples are there as suppose to be. What gets me is seeing someone using all that fancy "govt. $$$" then drive off in a very decent car. That's always seems to get me. I also see at the "food banks" people lined-up and getting whatever. Some sure at heck need it but others, I have my thoughts, on the surface. I do know more and more people are there and the food banks are always on the lookout for deals or handouts themselves plus the drives. That has to be the sub-poverty that's not always seen, IMHO. -----Willy Happy

Food no longer a priorty in the budget?
May 6, 2015 4:30AM PDT

The govt. and local charities (food pantries) take care of that. Cheap and subsidized housing is also available. TVs, smart phones, cable service etc., are now necessities of life. Govt. is already creeping into that area as well.

Here they come! We coming to America! (after Italy).

Just what we needed. Remember her?

Get ready to plunk out more money in taxes, and when confronted on the street by some hood.

Just look at what Obama did to Minnesota. He looked for where there were mostly white folks and therefore their secure welfare programs so he could dump all his new immigrant blacks on, to suck up the welfare there.

"The State Department has helped to relocate tens of thousands of refugees from the war-torn African nation of Somalia to Minnesota, where they can take advantage of some of America's most generous welfare and charity programs.

But the effort is having the unintended consequence of creating an
enclave of immigrants with high unemployment that is both stressing the
state's safety net and creating a rich pool of potential recruiting
targets for Islamist terror groups.

In the fiscal year that ended in September, Minnesota welcomed 1,118
Somali refugees arriving directly from Africa, most of them without
family ties to the state, according to State Department statistics.
Overall, more than 30,000 Somalis live in the midwestern state
comprising the nation's largest concentration of Somali immigrants,
according to U.S. Census data."

Sounds like something you would read in the Bible.
