Doncha just love it....win/win

In reply to: The Don needs out of the political box

And you 'suspect' it will end up in court? Ya think? Even TRUMP told you where it would go....and since Dems/et al have chosen to sue him over every decision he makes, and they ALL end up in court, history has shown that he has WON there. Don't you have a problem with all that taxpayer money being wasted on nothing but political moves on the Dem's part as part of their 'resist' garbage? They know they won't win...but they like at least stalling it, and they don't care about anything but their base...not even the people they represent even though those people AGREE with Trump. What a sham that party has turned into....fighting against everything they AGREED to and VOTED on when it was BO, but now because it's TRUMP, the people can go to hell. How can they possibly think this is a winning position for themselves?

i don't think so...Certainly not during the election campaign.

If only....Mexico had paid for the wall, America wouldn't be where it is today.....

Promises made, promises broken.

DJT can't predict the future AND he won't even admit to what happened(his promises) in the past.

HE is bouncing from one screwup to the next.

HE was offered $25B a while ago...HE held out for $1.37B?

PS.Where HE will get the money from?

Trump's wall could take money from military housing, base repairs

Family housing for service members in Wisconsin and South Korea, schools on military bases in Germany, and upgrades to Fort Bragg in North Carolina and Air Force bases in Alaska could be on the chopping block with President Donald Trump's national emergency declaration to use billions in military construction money to build a border wall.

You referenced military housing.

In reply to: RE:Even TRUMP told you where it would go.

It's more than a matter of funds for expanding.

Reuters recently did a lengthy muckrake on military housing. The full report is available at the link "Ambushed at Home", near the end of this piece.

Two points of view I can take, both based on experience, leading to the same conclusion:
First, while in the service I would have considered that treatment a poor reward for 'defending my sacred native land'.
Second, I've since discovered a system of government that surpasses it.
Both based on experience.
Conclusion: the US ... scratch that, the _people_ of the US and every other country deserve better government.

Worth reading, anyway.

Link works.

Here's the headline.

I doubt that there are very many

Dems who agree with the Don about the need for a wall.

Even the repubs in congress told him to stuff it.

If he takes back Derek's pay raise to build your wall will you be happy?

Collapse -
You mean like BO did to

In reply to: I doubt that there are very many

Social Security recipients for the first two years HE was in office?

Get real...even YOU know that once you GET a raise, it's ILLEGAL for an employer to take it back.

This would have all been good IF the Dems hadn't lied to him about three weeks of negotiations if he opened up the government again and then didn't bother to show up until the last week. So they got 7 months of new crap and it goes away again since none of it is permanent laws, and he did what he'd been saying all along what he would do. This is pretty much what they did to Reagan, but this time, they didn't even BOTHER to get DACA into the deal.....you think THEY aren't pissed off that THEY'VE been lied to by Dems? People notice these things.

Collapse -

In reply to: You mean like BO did to

Only righty's and lefty's carp about something that was not the purpose of the negotiations.

DACA can be left for another day.

The purpose was to give the Don a bill he could sign to avoid another shutdown and allow him and the repubs a way out of the mess the Don created.

Now he's off with another mess with this national emergency stuff.

All of this just to build Toni's wall.

That's an amazing claim- even if relevant.

There were plenty enough Dems

In reply to: I doubt that there are very many

including those still in office today who have moved to the far left now who actually VOTED for the wall during GWB AND BO's terms as recently as 2013. Phonies, all of them, just to get votes needed to stay in their powerful positions and would say and do anything to achieve that.

That was then

In reply to: There were plenty enough Dems

Then we had a great bus driver.....BO.
Now we have a child driving the bus who changes his mind/direction daily.

Btw. the Don does not know the meaning of the word illegal.
If he gets it in his head to take back Derek's pay raise to pay for YOUR wall it's gone.

Collapse -
How ironic that you would think that Trump

In reply to: That was then

doesn't know the meaning of the word 'illegal' when it's the DEMS that refuse to USE that word...

BO....the GREAT bus driver? The absolutely biggest racist bus driver is our Presidential history? Are you kidding me? HE single handedly PUSHED this country into the biggest racial divide since the 50's and he did it DELIBERATELY.

If ANYBODY is going to cut Derek's paycheck, it's going to be lefty Dem President who hates the military in order to pay for FREE everything that Socialists love.

Collapse -

In reply to: How ironic that you would think that Trump

Why would the dems use that word when they never do anything illegal.

After Nancy shuts down this national emergency nonsense the Don will have to look elsewhere for bucks to build your wall.

Derek better hang on to his wallet.

Collapse -
Excuse me?

In reply to: Illegal

The Dems never do anything illegal? Sure they do....they just have buddies in the DOJ all the time that never bring charges or indict or use a grand jury...hopefully that will change now that Barr is there.

Also...illegal = undocumented now.

Nancy can't shut it down...out of the three areas that Trump can take funds from, TWO don't need Congressional ok for it so THAT money will be used to build walls while the THIRD one goes through liberal courts. By the time it gets to SCOTUS, that court will ALSO see that Congress had ALREADY given it to BO five years ago and it wasn't spent by him for the wall so Congressional authority was already given for it. Trump WILL get those funds...Nancy is trying to revoke it WITHOUT a new vote to do that, hoping the court will do that FOR them. She'll lose.

Collapse -

In reply to: Excuse me?

Nancy and/or the courts will tie this up until 2020.
Then we will have BO as the prez and the problem is solved.
Bye bye Toni's wall.

Collapse -
Nope.....as I said, and you ignored

In reply to: Wall

TWO of those funding sources aren't able to be challenged because the money is already DISCRETIONARY for his use immediately so the wall goes up...by the time that money runs out, SCOTUS will have the case and that THIRD source will become available because Congress actually passed law GIVING it to him. SHE wants to try to revoke it and SHE will lose.

And BO WON'T be prez….no matter how badly you wish it could be so.

Collapse -

In reply to: Nope.....as I said, and you ignored

Gave the money to the pentagon to fund their needs.
Now the pentagon brass has to figure out if they want to redirect funds just so the Don can have Toni's wall and get out of the political box he is in.

If not BO then perhaps AOC would be more to your liking.

Collapse -
Those Pentagon funds

In reply to: Congress

are allowed to be used for CONSTRUCTION....there are NO restrictions about WHERE....Nancy will lose.

AOC is a joke who, as a product of liberal education in the USA, can't add. BUT she WOULD be more to YOUR liking while taking away your hamburgers now.

Collapse -
Pentagon funds

In reply to: Those Pentagon funds

I have not seen anything yet to indicate they will give the Don 10 cents to build your wall.

Nancy does not have the power to stop the Don.
What she can do is delay and force the repubs into a vote.

With so many suits being filed it should take a while for all those to wind their way through the court system.

Come 2020 when the Don gets tossed out the matter will be settled.
