the Difference of Intel 845 MP and MZ chipset?

Oct 12, 2005 9:14AM PDT

Like the subject, does anyone know the difference between an Intel 845MP chipset and a 845MZ chipset? I tried to find the solution on Intel's site, but it isn't much help. It says that these 2 are in the 845 family, but I need the exact model so that I can get the most recent and compatible Intel Application Accelerator. I have a notebook, ASUS L3400C. Appreciated if anyone has the answer.

I have Windows XP Home, Intel Pentium 4-M, 768 MB RAM.

My notebook recently crashes of this file IdeChnDr.sys, which is a part of Intel Application Accelerator's Intel Storage Driver.

(NT) (NT) Odd. Try it without the Intel Accelerator?

Just noting...

Each time I used the Intel Accelerator, it didn't require me to be that precise on the chipset.
