The desktop background that shows up...

by warnerda / March 22, 2006 7:50 AM PST

You know when you turn on your computer, and after the black Windows screen loads, the next screen is a brief view of your desktop? In my case it's a previous desktop-of Kate Beckinsale. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but when I'm working on school projects, it's not something that's all that plesant.

Is there a way I can change this? I have my current desktop set to the basic HP wallpaper.

Thanks for your help.

Change the wallpaper again.

No fix is planned.

Bob, thanks, but that unfortunately didn't do the trick.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

The fact that I can't fix this is starting to bug me Wink

If changing the other user's backgrounds doesn't cycle it out...

You'll be the first that changing it didn't flush out the one that shows during boot...

In reply to: But

But try this:
Right-click on the desktop, go to Properties, then the
Desktop tab and set the Background to (None), hit Apply,
then OK.

Next we get to hunt down the old image and explore those other accounts...
