But Windows does indeed get banged up over time. Many of us have noticed we'll have to use CHKDSK /F along with SFC SCANNOW then scan for malware. It's one of the reasons folks worry about the future of Windows.
I want to speak about some things that happened to my computer in the last few weeks, since 3 days ago I had a R9 270X in my PC and when AMD released the drivers 16.9.2 I downloaded them and during the installation the screen went black with only the cursor visible, so I had to boot into safe mode and downgrade the drivers, so, as I already wanted to buy a new card, I took the chance and bought a GTX 1060 and.... while installing NVIDIA drivers the same problem occurred, and I was like ***?. After many attempts I had to reset Windows 10 (fortunately all the games were installed in another drive) and after that it worked, but what I don't understand is what was wrong with my previous Windows installation as neither AMD or NVIDIA drivers worked. Do you have some ideas? Now everything works fine, it's just for curiosity
